Excellence in the spotlight at IPACK-IMA
Eighty Ucima member companies will be showing off their latest technological innovations at the most important Italian exhibition for the sector.
The Italian packaging machinery manufacturers’ association will welcome Italian and international stakeholders and international visitors to the show through a communication campaign entitled “You are IN the land of technology”.
The Italian packaging machinery manufacturers’ association will be present along with the entire sector at the forthcoming IPACK-IMA, to be held in the Fiera Milano exhibition centre from 29 May to 1 June.
A total of eighty Ucima member companies will be taking part in the show, where they will display their latest technological innovations to their Italian and international clientele. In particular these include Industry 4.0 related innovations such as connectivity between machines and plants, predictive maintenance, use of big data and sensors.
“Our Association and its leading member companies have a firm belief in this exhibition project, which aims to strengthen IPACK-IMA’s position as one of the key international events for industry professionals,” said Ucima’s chairman Enrico Aureli.
Since 2015, Ucima has been one of the joint owners of the show’s management company along with Fiera Milano and has contributed to international promotion and the growth of the forthcoming edition of the event.
“For this reason, at IPACK-IMA we will welcome international visitors through a communication campaign that emphasises our companies’ world leadership position, something that until now was only done at Interpack,” continued Aureli.
“You are IN the land of technology” is the slogan chosen by the association to welcome international visitors to IPACK-IMA.
IPACK-IMA will also benefit from the strong performance of the world packaging machinery market. The Ucima Research Department forecasts steady growth over the three-year period 2016-2019 with annual increases of +5.3%.
The best performances are expected to be seen in Asia (+7.3%) and Africa (+6,5%). Europe will continue to account for the largest sales volumes and will see 3% growth.
After posting 6.3% growth in 2017 bringing the sector’s turnover to more than 7 billion euros, the forecasts for Italian manufacturers are also positive for the current year thanks to strong sales in the domestic and above all international markets. According to the Ucima Research Department’s forecasts, the industry will continue its strong performance in Italy and Europe, and its sales will also improve in Asia and Africa with growth of between 6% and 6.5%, in line with global trends.
