KIT and Garra merge in meat sector joint venture

The global meat traders and exporters KIT International (Brazil) and Garra International (New Zealand) have merged to create a joint venture worth more than US$ 220 million.

The resultant synergies will bring both companies numerous growth opportunities in their respective markets.

Garra will introduce KIT’s chicken offerings in the Middle East, while KIT will have access to high-quality red meat (veal, beef, lamb) sold by the New Zealand company, thereby increasing its sales in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and North America compared to the current figure of 65,000 tons/year.
