From Silicon Valley to Italy: Plug and Play opens in Milan
The Italian branch of Plug and Play, the largest open innovation platform in the world, the first international startup accelerator, opened in Milan. The activities of Plug and Play Italy will be focused in the Food & Beverage sector, with the aim of creating and supporting new growth opportunities on the market.
Among the corporate partners that support the initiative, Tetra Pak (in addition to Esselunga, Lavazza and UniCredit), a multinational specialized in the food processing and packaging sector.
«Being among the founding partners of Plug and Play is a source of pride for us», underlined the president of Tetra Pak Italia, Francesco Faella. «Investing in the future by taking the best innovation proposals in Food & Beverage and supporting the project approach of younger operators, as in this case, is a challenge that we gladly accept. With Tetra Pak we are therefore pleased to also support the arrival in Italy of this platform that will contribute to giving new energy to a constantly evolving sector».
Plug and Play, with headquarters in Silicon Valley, was launched in the 2000s and has extended its programs all over the world, reaching a presence in over 30 global locations between America, Europe and Asia.
