Ergon Capital acquires majority stake in Dolciaria Acquaviva

Negotiations for the sale of leading Italian frozen bakery business Dolciaria Acquaviva to Luxemburg-based private equity company Ergon Capital Partners were concluded on 31 July. The Acquaviva family will reinvest into the deal and Pierluigi Acquaviva will continue to lead the business as CEO.

Founded in 1979, the company operates through one manufacturing plant located in Gricignano di Aversa (province of Caserta) with three highly efficient cutting-edge production lines. In particular, the third production line which came into operation in early 2019 has more than doubled production capacity for croissants.

Dolciaria Acquaviva serves more than 20,000 customers throughout Italy, largely in the Ho.Re.Ca channel through distributors, agents and 8 direct branches.
